Wastewater

These are all unadulterated photographs of a “waste water runoff pipe” that emerges from the ground and continuously dumps “treated” sewage water from the town of Woodstock, NY into the local Mill Stream, which eventually empties into the Hudson River, and ultimately the Atlantic Ocean. The diameter of the pipe is approximately 24?, though I have never measured it. I have to hike about a half of a mile on a well traveled nature trail along the Mill Stream to get there. I have been doing this every other month or so since the fall of 2006 to photograph this pipe and the seasonal changes evident in the reflections from the sky and surrounding landscape.
